The Bridging of Life science and Applied Science

We are studying not only basic sciences to uncover mysteries of life, but challenging to innovate new technologies for food production based on our results. We take multidisciplinary approach to understand the complicated processes of food production and the surrounding environment, the studies of which include the fields of food science, plant breeding, pest insect and disease control of crops, and soil science. We have two courses to perform these research fields, “Food Science and Plant Breeding” and “Plant Protection and Environment”.

Course

Food Development Course

From genes to food functions

This course focuses on the studies on plant biotechnology and food functionality for health, leading to develop novelusage and function of food resources.

Research Field
  • Plant Breeding
  • Food Science
